Wholesale tree grading can vary greatly from grower to grower and wholesaler to wholesaler. One growers ‘B’ grade could be another growers ‘A’ grade etc. They may well be priced accordingly but this can become confusing for the retailer. We work closely with our growers to ensure a consistent, accurate grading system. They are catagorised as follows:
Premium Nordmann Fir
The highest grade of tree available. These trees are lush and dense with usually no more than one industry recognised flaw.
Standard/Premium Nordmann Fir Mix
Our best seller, and an excellent all round tree. These trees have one to two industry recognised cosmetic flaws. These flaws can often be inconspicuous and are not usually a concern to the end customer. These trees are generally very symmetrical, with medium density foliage. Combining great aesthetic appeal with an attractive price to boot!

Value Nordmann Fir
These trees are perfectly healthy but often have two or more industry recognised cosmetic flaws. An excellent value range tree that can easily be retailed at bargain prices and can offer an excellent opportunity to compete with supermarket ‘budget’ trees. These trees have good shapes but can be less symmetrical than our other grade, often more open in appearance with medium to light density foliage. Perfect for families on a budget.
